No one can agree on when and where the band started, but this is generally believed to be a photo of the first festival that the band played in Clayville, Illinois. The most poignant memory of this weekend was when Moe Nelson grabbed a big live beetle, popped it in his mouth, and the crunch was heard for miles. John Terr can currently be heard playing with the Chicago Cajun Aces and Moe Nelson plays with the Oklahoma Twisters in the vicinity of Washington, D.C.
